BJJ is the most complete physical and character education available for children. Not fighting — learning. Every class builds coordination, focus, resilience, and the ability to lose gracefully and try again.
Ages 4–14. All levels. First visit welcome.
Conventional gyms hand out free trials to pack the room with bodies. We don't want bodies — we want committed people.
This fee is a deliberate filter. It eliminates the tourists and the uncommitted. It protects the culture of the mat — because the people already on it earned their space there. If you're not willing to invest in your own discipline upfront, our mat isn't for you.
You step onto the mat. We learn exactly where you are — not where you think you are. Professor Helder strips away assumptions and teaches the non-negotiable mechanical foundations of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the operating standards of VIBA Academy.
You leave knowing what you don't know. That is worth the trip alone.

The second session introduces direct adversity. You will face resistance — physical, technical, mental. You will learn to breathe when your body tells you to stop.
This is where most people discover what BJJ actually is. Not what they imagined. Better.

You train with the full VIBA tribe. This is live training — not isolated drilling. If you demonstrate the required grit and align with our culture, Professor Helder extends a membership offer personally at the end of class.

The next adult induction is open. Spots are limited per week.
We do not throw children into sparring. Day one establishes mat etiquette, listening skills, and the non-negotiable rules of safety. We build their confidence before we build their technique.
We introduce BJJ mechanics through structured games. Your child will experience minor physical challenges and learn how to overcome them without frustration. We teach them how to lose gracefully and try again.
Your child joins the larger class environment. If they demonstrate the ability to listen and respect their training partners, we invite them to join the VIBA family long-term.
